Title: Kusherie (Egyptian Rice and Lentils)
Categories: Egyptian Rice Bean
Yield: 1 Servings

  Sauce:
  In a saucepan,heat together:
3/4c(one 6 oz can) tomato paste
3cTomato juice, sauce or
  Pureed tomatoes
1 Green pepper, chopped
  Chopped celery leaves
1tbSugar
1/2tsSalt
1tsCumin
1/4tsCayenne pepper or cruched
  Chilis to taste
  Browned Onions:
  Heat in small skillet:
2tbOil
  Saute over medium heat until
  Brown:
3 Onions, sliced
4 Cloves garlic, minced

Bring sauce to boiling, reduce heat and simmer 20-30 minutes.
